The French School of Maputo is a non-profit Parents’ Association (APE). All parents are members of the APE, their subscription paid as part of the school fees. The association is administered by the School Board.
Its role and the regulatory framework for the administrative and financial management of the EFM are defined by the APE statutes.
The School Board is responsible for the management of the school in accordance with Mozambican law and in line with recommendations from the AEFE.
The School Board is in charge of:
- Administrative and financial management of the school
- Drawing up the budget, cash flow forecasts, accounts, inventories and financial statements
- Signing all contracts and commitments with respect to third parties
- Acquiring real estate and disposing of movable assets
